We are custom guitar makers and repairers of most types of electric, bass and acoustic guitars, based in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire.

We make and design hand crafted electric guitars. These can be to your own unique specification or you can customise one of our own range of guitars that offer a unique twist on classic shapes. Each of our guitar ranges can be customised to your requirements so that you can design your own dream guitar at a competitive price. Our guitars are hand stained to highlight the natural beauty of the wood, set up to play easily, and they provide a range of tone options to suit all tastes. We ship inside and outside the UK and offer online consultations to establish exactly what you would like before embarking on a project. We have a show room (sounds grander than it actually is) if you would like to 'try before you buy'.

If you would like us to help you realise your own designs or dream guitar, we can build almost any model of electric guitar, offer design advice, or create necks and/or bodies to your specification including left handed models. We can also finish or re-finish your guitar using stains, paints and various gloss, satin or matt finishes.

Alongside our custom building services we also repair, setup, service and upgrade most types of electric and acoustic guitars including Ukuleles and banjos. Please visit the Service and Repair section of this website where you will find some examples of our work and a rough guide to our prices. A simple setup or some basic fretwork can make your old, worn out guitar playable or turn a cheap guitar into a delight to play. We can also help you to upgrade your hardware with new pickups, tuners, bridges or alternative wiring arrangments. We also sell service and repair Gift Certificates which make excellent christmas gifts for guitarists whose instruments need some care and attention.

For those who are interested in learning to setup your guitar or build your own electric guitar, I can offer tuition. Please contact me for pricing.

My intern Albie (CEO Marketing and Chewing Offcuts) turns out to be a dab paw with the soldering iron and he is developing his own line of guitar peddles. Apparently inspired by our very large neighbour, William, who can be seen sunbathing in the nude on very hot days, he has used his vast marketing experience to bring you a subtle and tasteful line of peddles that, he tells me, will transform you life for the better. You can find some of their products on our eCommerce store, Big Willy's Guitar Emporium

Please browse through our website and contact us for quotations, pricing and custom options. We also sell a small number of items that we use in our fabrication of our guitars that you may find useful for your own guitar making. Examples include scale drawings and templates that enable you to have a go at building your own guitars with our help.
