Most guitars require regular attention to help them and you play to your best potential. When you change the strings, particularly if you change the gauge, the guitar may not play as well as it did. Over time, the neck may become bowed and
cause the playing action to increase or the strings to buzz against the frets. Many new, inexpensive guitars have never been properly setup and so are difficult to play from the outset and your fingers may be suffering, trying to hold down
the strings.
We offer a range of gift cards that can be redeemed for a standard setup or for more complex remedial work such as fret levelling or replacement. These consist of a code that can be redeemed for work against their face value within a 12
months period. These make excellent christmas or birthday gifts and a little bit of work on a guitar can make all the difference to its playability. We cannot guarantee that this will turn you into a guitar god but ....... you never know.

setup. We do not overcharge for work and so if the repair/setup costs less than the face value, we will offer a refund or extend the duration so that you can use the balance later. If you prefer your own make of strings, then you are welcome
to supply these and get a £5.00 cash refund.
For those who would like to purchase gift cards towards more extensive repairs such as fret levelling or fret replacementor, or even a gift towards a custom guitar, then we can create cards of any value of your choice. Please note that you
will need to bring your guitar to my workshop for repair so these are only useful if you are relatively local or if you are planning a minibreak in sunny Hertfordshire.
