The essence of the original workhorse electric guitar. Featuring a butterscotch blonde ash body with true Bakelite pickguard capturing raw twang and midrange punch. The grain shows through the thin nitro finish. A key upgrade are the compensated brass saddles. These give the classic 3-saddle look and tone but with accurate intonation. Bridge and tuners made by Gotoh provide excellent stability.

This Neovintage '52Tele' is based on a guitar made in 1952 called 'Smokey'. The body is made from Ash or lighter versions from Swamp Ash. This particular guitar features a number of features that collectors recognise in early models including the shelf on the neck pocket, the router ledge The pickguard is single ply and made from Bakelite to match those found in the early models.

The neck is made from maple. The neck is quite sold as a nod towards the original guitars of this period but it has a C profile which makes it very comfortable to play. The guitar has a bone nut and Gotoh tuners. The fretbaord is made from maple but has our eccentric fret markers. The frets are medium jumbo to improve playability.

The stock pickups are made by Iron Gear but other makes can be fitted on request. These pickups have the classic sweet telecaster tone of the neck pickup and twang of the bridge pickup. A second coil in each pickup can be switched in with a push-pull switch on the volume knob to increase the output for a more modern tone if required. The bridge has compensated brass saddles which combines the classic telecaster look with functional intonation. The switch here is a three position switch but other wiring arrangements are available including the 4 position switch with series parallel wiring.
